Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete an online request which will provide the Nurse with all of the information necessary regarding your travel. It is important to submit your online request at least 6 weeks before you travel as an appointment may be required with the practice nurse to actually receive vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stocked vaccine and the appointment sometimes needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow them to work.

Please note that some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these can incur a charge over the normal NHS prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. Also, you may need to visit a private travel clinic depending on what vaccinations you need.
