If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
Please note that it would be helpful if you could make an appointment at least 6 weeks prior to travelling.
A second appointment may be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. Many vaccines have to be ordered as they are not routinely stocked at the practice.
Some travel vaccines have to be ordered on a private prescription basis. This is because not all travel vaccination are available on the NHS. If the vaccines you require are not available on the NHS you will incur a charge. Please check in advance the costs of such vaccines.
